    Newb to the whole shebang...

    Thanks for the welcome, mods.

I saw this guy on youtube and I don't know if it was his kind voice, gentle manner, videography, music or maybe his biscuits, but I want IN!!! *it was probably the biscuits .

I am generally a Travel Trailer camping guy but have done some light tent camping, but only with old military gear.
I'll need a great deal of "training" both in gear and nomenclature, but I'm working on it all. In the internet age, it's like drinking from a fire hose (and I'm a firefighter, so I know something about THAT!)

I'm hoping for a sticky or pin, but haven't looked around too much yet.
    Oh, I'm also a big guy, 6'4, 275-285, so there's that.

Anyhoo, thanks for the add, and any advice on a comprehensive newbie edu-ma-cation plan, let me know.

    Thanks all,

    Big Rob.

The best one-sentence answer would be to just get the book.

    Happy hammocking!

Agreed Smckinney0031, Shug has some very entertaining and informative videos. Highly recommend in addition to the book.

    Thanks for the link.
"Shug" was my pet name from my beloved late Mamaw, so anyone with a name like that, I have to respect!
