    I'm a bit confused because the above links are about 'aftermarket' carbon fibre poles, not Warbonnet's stock poles.

    As to the metal plates I remember when I was buying in 2016 there was a change to add 'padding' to the suspension loop around the plates to prevent fraying of the suspension.

    So yes the poles that were breaking were aftermarket carbon fiber poles, not our stock aluminum poles, and often times people were using the aftermarket CF poles AND also shortening the suspension triangle which increases forces.

    The old RR's with metal corner plates are just fine, we simply ran out of corner buckles and so used that as an oppertunity to switch to a lighter, simpler corner config. by using a UHMWPE webbing there (which was not an option years ago when the RR was designed)
