    Uwarrie NF Hike 12 - 15 Jan 2020

Phantom Grappler, Pappy Amos and I are going to be doing some hiking / hanging and lolly gagging on the Dutchman's Creek and Uwharrie Trail. We will be starting at the Hwy 24 / 27 Wood Run Trail head parking lot and head out from there. Will decide which direction to take once we get there. No set miles planned but we plan a slow easy hike. Sam the dog will going with us to protect us from any Whoozels in the area and to investigate and approve of any water sources we come across.

Just seen this hike/hang pop up and hope I can fit it in my schedule that is if others are welcome. I'm thinking we are since you posted it hahaha

I've never been to this section of Uwharrie but if it's not a loop maybe we could drop a car or two and hike in and drive back around?

I'll stay tuned for more input and Phantom ramblings

It can be what ever you want...a loop, a figure 8 ( clock wise...counter clock wise ) or one way. Many possibilities. You could go one way from Hwy 27 / 24 and end up at Yates. I have hiked ( with Pappy Amos ) the northern loop and have day hiked part of the southern loop

Gunner, when you guys decide a leaving time Sunday, let me know. Sun I'm coming back from a trip from WV and not sure what time we will be back exactly.
If not back in time and if there is phone service I could possibly rendezvous with you Monday.

I just don't want to trace PG's steps and do double loops and back tracks like his New Years trek..... Lol
