SNOW REPORT from Tumbleweed...
We are dealing with 8 inches of heavy ice crust with about 15 inches of fresh powder snow on top.
On the main tractor path, the snow plow truck made into the field about three truck lengths. Then he found the snowdrifts...
At the homestead he made it into about five truck lengths before he became seriously stuck. I pulled him out with my 4x4 after some Noble attempts to extricate himself.
We will need to unload at the homestead driveway, then pulk up to Da Shack, then park vehicles at the west end of the Winter Sports Club parking lot, and then shuttle back to the homestead finally snowshoeing across the field to the shack hill.
Can't just leave the cars parked on highway T.
Truly going to be an adventurous challenge.
Another parking option might be the New Hope Lutheran church, although Sunday Morning church services will be starting by 10:00 AM.
I expect the snow to be gone by Independence Day...

So the Homestead parking lot is NOT plowed?
Not all who wander are lost.
Hi all, homestead yard is not plowed. (yet), working on options. The County Boys" looked at it and said that they could not do it, and would just spin wheels dealing with the ice crust under the 12 inches of new powder.
Contacted a plow truck who attempted to get in the trail along the field. Could not go more than about 4 truck lengths before hitting the drifts. No go...
Also attempted to bust through the driveway into the homestead lawn. Vallient efforts failed and got stuck a few more times. I ended up pulling him back out onto highway T using my plow-less 4x4.
Still exploring other options. Farm tractor and bucket was also a no go...
Waiting to hear back from a construction company end-loader. Carol and I are snowshoeing ( pulk sledding) (trail break-ing) from the homestead to da shack. 20 minutes one way. Of course the trip out is with the load, and uphill.
I'm back...
PARK AT THE HOMESTEAD for the "Da Shack" February Hang. Pulk up to da shack.
Got the snow moved. Yea. Longish story. Carol is a master shoveler, well as snowshoe expert.
