    Mesh Peak Pocket

Ordered the Mesh Peak Pocket from HG.. Thought it would be exactly what I needed since I use a half wit style hammock with the ridgeline over the bug net, making use of a traditional organizer challenging.

Most of my DIY hammocks have interior gear loops that the Peak Pocket can clip to, though my Mtn 1.3 netless doesn't, so I just clipped the mitten clips to the hammock side hem.

Initially, I thought it was going to be too deep and was pondering putting a seam across the bottom to shorten up.. that turned out to be a non-issue. However, what I have found is in the absence of a bug net, the pocket kept flopping outside the hammock. I'd come back to my hammock and find the Peak Pocket hanging outside to one side. Not a big deal since the depth I thought might be problematic actually assures things don't fall out. I suspect when I use it with a half wit style hammock it will be more likely to stay put.

All in all, it's a nice simple piece of kit for those who either can't use or don't like traditional ridge line organizers.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

That looks like a gear loft rather than a peak pocket.. What is that a picture of? Looks like you have it attached to your RL..

Yes, it's on the RL and attaches via prussik and Ti mitten hooks. It is the loft, I must have misread the thread title lol. It's pretty cool regardless, and HUGE. lol.

I've made a few of those over the years.. they work great. I've put them in the middle of the RL or, with one end up in the gather and the other on the RL.

I've made a few Half Wit style hammocks and have been using them almost exclusively. The challenge with them is that the net hangs below the RL so you don't have easy access to anything hanging on the RL unless it is towards your feet and then you have reach outside the net. No Bueno.

Previously, I've mounted the gear loft like yours with one end in the gather and one end attached to the side hem, which worked.. but this seems to work better if I can find a way to keep it from flopping outside the hammock.
