I just got a new [to me] Pathfinder, so there is a remote chance I may make the drive up to New England and make this hang.

Would anyone be up for a spontaneous "Back To the Lake Hang" on Flagstaff, either before or after? There are kayaks and the canoe at Ed's camp up there.

Very possibly! I am currently scheduled to be in NE the week after Harold Parker so I can get to a conference in Albany that Thursday. They are discussing cancelling the conference due to the beer flu, so I'm not 100% on my plans. I'll also have to figure out the greyhound situation. But assuming that all comes together, very possibly. (At the very least if you want to spend more days at HP, I will be around.)

Let's try and reserve the sites on the water- aiming for sites 67, 69, 71, 75, 77, 79, 81, 83, 85, 87. Reservations are made through Reserve America- booking for these dates starts Jan 17th.

HP doesn't allow you to bring in wood so everyone should plan on buying 2 bundles please. Sites allow 2 cars total, there is additional parking nearby.

We usually do some fishing, kayaking, swimming which is located in the campsite. The area has some great mountain bike trails as well.
Sat AM and Sat PM is potluck family style so plan on bringing something to share with the group... and come with an appetite. This group brings some incredible food as far as camping goes.

Pretty casual, laid back with a great group of people so if this is your first time you will feel welcome, we promise!

A spreadsheet is coming and will be posted here. If you don't get a site it is a good idea to PM someone who posts they got a site and ask if you can join up.

Anyone up for tie dye again?? thinking bandanas this time.
I would like to take a moment to step out of the camping vibe for a moment, and thank our resident NEHHA Nurses - Megan and Nate. As involved in the outdoors and hammocking as they are, they just as committed to others through nursing, and helping heal others. I am sure that they are hip-deep in this pandemic, facing other peoples fears as well as their own, as they work to treat anyone presenting.
This virus has changed the world in many ways. It is taking many, yet many are surviving thanks to the selfless efforts of many, including our own Nurses. Megan, Nate, thank you both for who you are, and what you do. I can't wait until we can hang together again!
Please stay safe! We are all thinking of you both.

    Chaaaz and family.

Holy smokes I’m in tears! We are both working long grueling hours. There is nothing that could have prepared us as nurses for this challenge. Our hospital got its first patient early March and things haven’t let up yet. Nathan got redeployed from the OR (all cases except emergency canceled) to a Covid med/surg floor and I am still in the ICU that has now been deemed Covid only too. I am thankful for your support, Chaaz. Can’t wait until it’s safe to venture out & kick up our feet in the hammocks. Here’s to a successful, healthy Harold Hang

We appreciate Nurses (yes, I capitalize it!) more than you know! As a person at the top of the "high risk" catagory, I am especially greatful for what you two do!

Having had multiple hospitalizations, I know that Nurses are responsible not for just medical care, but for physical and psychological comfort care! Just moving the call button a bit closer; getting a second pillow or another warm blanket in the middle of the night; kind words in the middle of the inevitable anxiety storms, and a basic human compassion (absent from most over burdened doctors), make Nurses the key to healing both body and mind.
Not many are cut out for it. It takes a toll on you, the caregivers.

I do not know where I would be without the Nurses in Dana Farber, Brigham and Womens, and Mass General hospitals - all of whom got me this far!

A personal thank you from me to both you and Nate. Because of you both, many lives have been changed for the better!
    Bless you both!

Would like to give a big thank you to another NEHHA nurse! Jackie is a Hospice nurse, and I have no idea how she does that. Always smiling and cheerful, you would never guess what she does!

Jackie, I hope that you are also staying safe; that this virus is not taking your patients sooner, and that we can all hang together once again soon!

Thank you for what you do!
