    -=CANCELED=-MA > N. Andover > Harold Parker State Forest > Harold Hang

    EVENT CANCELED

Official dates: July 17-19th, 2020 8th Annual Harold Hang

Let's try and reserve the sites on the water- aiming for sites 67, 69, 71, 75, 77, 79, 81, 83, 85, 87. Reservations are made through Reserve America- booking for these dates starts Jan 17th.

HP doesn't allow you to bring in wood so everyone should plan on buying 2 bundles please. Sites allow 2 cars total, there is additional parking nearby.

We usually do some fishing, kayaking, swimming which is located in the campsite. The area has some great mountain bike trails as well.
Sat AM and Sat PM is potluck family style so plan on bringing something to share with the group... and come with an appetite. This group brings some incredible food as far as camping goes.

Pretty casual, laid back with a great group of people so if this is your first time you will feel welcome, we promise!

A spreadsheet is coming and will be posted here. If you don't get a site it is a good idea to PM someone who posts they got a site and ask if you can join up.

Anyone up for tie dye again?? thinking bandanas this time.

Can't wait! Last year was fantastic. We finally moved in August into the house in the Whites that we were building. This time I hope to be joined by my 9 year old grandson who will be spending "summer camp" with me.

Feels like winter as just begun--yes, I love skiing--it is still nice to put this one in the calendar to have to look forward to!!

I went to the Reserve America site, looks like all those sites are snagged.
I will look to "borrow" a few trees somewhere and share fees with someone.

We can't book until 6 months out, so not until the 17th.

Oh, that's right...I seem to remember this from last year now that you mention it! Thanks.

These dates are great for me. The weekend before is "Swim With a Mission". I volunteer to kayak with the swimmers and keep them safe. I had reserved my site at the Harrold Hang last year and missed the Swim.

Just a suggestion from far, far away, but... mebbe folks ought to indicate on this thread which site they are going to try to snag.

No sense in competing against each other, having to try for a second [or third] choice/chance, and mebbe letting a "furriner" grab one right in the middle. These ARE the best sites at Harold after all !!!
I know someone has the site plan [check last years thread].

Wishing and hoping I could be there, but it is **** hard bothering to come down off when I live up here on the mountain...

    Miss you all.... come visit!

Sometimes people book random sites and are far away from the crowd so I listed the row of numbers to book. Ive booked site 79 for the last 3 years so I will plan on getting that site again- plenty of trees and has room to allow for my friends' mini camper to fit too.

Was going to suggest the same that our pal Flash mentioned. No sense all trying to book the same site.
I will be trying to book site 75 again.
There will be many trees available, if anyone needs a spot.
