    Want the Sparrow

I’m looking for a new hammock. I’m 6’ 250 so I’m on the brink of the weight range. I’d love to have the sparrow. Any suggestions?

1.6 HyperD is rated to 280#, otherwise 1.7 MTN XL would work. I would go wide, 62"-64", at your height. At 5'-11"ish my 64" Raven is just a bit wider than I'd prefer. Hope that helps.

You may choose a fabric that will support your weight.
    Something like a 1.6 hyper D or even stronger.....https://www.dreamhammock.com/fabric.html

    Carry forth.

I am 6'1" and 300 lbs. I absolutely love my double layer 1.6 HyperD. No stretch and very comfortable lay. I went with 65" wide. Single layer hammocks have some stretch to them for my weight and I prefer a non stretch fabric.

It also depends on your intended use. Both my DH hammocks, a Raven SL and a Sparrow DL, had different purposes. Both were Hex20. The Raven was a used HF purchase and the Sparrow was intended for indoor use (I've been sleeping in it for months) and truck camping. Whereas the Raven was suitable for backpacking (but I preferred to take the Hammocktent 90 or WBBB XLC SL for this use). I went with the Hex20 for the Sparrow because I wanted it to be as robust and tough as possible because I intended to use it a lot. Weight wasn't a factor.

FYI I also have a Dutchware Hexon 1.7 wide hammock mostly for indoor use, and this fabric is good alternative. I do prefer the double layer, though. Seems to me the double layer fabric doesn’t “crease up” so sharply in the “calf ridge” zone.
