    Deleting Uploaded Pictures

I am getting a cumbersome amount of pictures in my uploaded files, some of which I don't expect to ever use again. Is there a way to delete some of them?

Go to your profile and select your gallery images, click on an image and then select edit. There is a "delete image" box, check that and confirm deletion..

Just remember, any pictures deleted and that are in a thread will have a broken link and the picture will no longer show in said thread.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Slight tangent perhaps, but file size can also make photos cumbersome. Always edit photo size before uploading. No need to upload a 5 gig photo when a 500k version (or even 50k) is perfectly fine online.

NOT that I know if you did one or the other, just a general hint for all.

Clarification - the uploads I am talking about are not in my gallery. They are pictures that i have attached to forum posts. They show up when I go to 'manage attachments' when I am creating a forum post. Currently to find a picture to add to a post (one that I have added previously) I have to scroll thru multiple pages of pictures to find the one I am looking for. Some of those pictures I will never use again so would like to delete them.

i posted about this in another thread but never got a response. i wondered the same thing about those attachments, they're nowhere in the gallery and the only way to know that they're there is to select "manage attachments" when trying to post. but there appears to be no way to really manage or delete them.

Yikes I see what you mean. That is frustrating.
I haven't posted up a pic in a long time and I don't see why the need for all those pics to show up.

Let me explain what you seeing.
When you click on manage your attachments.
Every image that you see should be one that you have included in a post somewhere on the forums. This is why your seeing it and can't delete it.
If you want to find out what post that you used the image in, follow these steps.

Hover over the image and a question mark should appear in the upper right of the image.
    Click on the question mark.
Another box should pop up showing the forum post where the image is being used.
You should be able to click on it and see the post.

OK - just thought that maybe I could clear up some of the clutter. At least now I know that I wasn't just missing something.

    Hi Passinthru,
As someone who loves taking pictures and using them in all the different forums I am a member of I have found a free Flicker account much easier to use.
Forum photo software is always clunky IMO and hard to work with when you want to do a bit of house cleaning.
And if for some reason you no longer want those embarrassing photos you posted 3 years ago, when you tried Mezca for the first time, it is very easy to delete.
    just my 2 cents
