Good, that makes two of us!!
Something along these lines are what I have in mind, adapted to 2" tree straps for the hammock with 1" straps replacing the tarp ridgeline.

Hopefully that helps?

Weather update!!
Thursday 35/20 with 3 inches of snow in the evening.
Friday 38/22 no snow
Saturday 33/15 no snow
I’m going up on Wednesday if anyone wants to come up early. I would also like to hike that section of the SHT if anyone is interested in joining in.
Those are some temperatures I'm willing to brave! Probably wait until a week out to see how the forecast changes but at the moment I'm in. Think I would drive up early Friday after dropping the kids off at daycare and then head home midday Saturday. Really excited the temps might be warm enough.
Forecast seems unbelievably perfect. Added my info to the signup sheet. I would be very interested in checking out the Superior Hiking Trail in Jay Cooke. Either when I arrive or Saturday morning. Any recommendations on places to eat between the Twin Cities and the park? All the places I normally go are either in Duluth or farther north.
Weather report! Bring your snow shoes if you want to hike. it’s going to be warm so the snow will soft.
Thursday 17/8 mostly sunny
Friday 34/22 sunny
Saturday 38/21 partly sunny
Sunday 38/21 mostly sunny.
Way too warm for me, I'm out.....
Barney live!!! Who doesn't love that purple dinosaur!!
