I called him, and he said he'd get back to me tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure many on here would love that for weekend car camping or even tailgating parties.

That looks great! One awesome step dad there. I'd love to see some detail shots of it. If you do the front one as well we're going to need shots of the hammock carousel!

That's a winner! Perfect for arriving at a trail head late on a Friday night, set up your rig and sleep until first light, then get on the trail.

No need to worry about sleeping in the car seat, or finding a place to shadow camp. Just make sure you park tail in, or with the truck between you and any oncoming traffic!

Adding that to my welding list!

If your father has no plans to sell them, would you/he consider posting a plan or more details (lengths, thickness, layout, etc.)?

Very nice! Does he have any blueprints to share for someone else to make? I would love to go to a welder for a aluminum one!

That is a super nice tailgate rig. I wish this was commercially available.. I'd buy one.

Dang! That is sweet! I was trying to come up with something to allow me to camp with only one tree, but this thing is way better.
Oooh, shiney! What does THIS button do?

These have been around for a while, but I'm not sure if the spacing is appropriate. The custom one here looks much better and simpler without the chair mode thing.
