    WoooHooooo, look at you!

Glad to see you getting in a good walk like that, and I'm jealous as all get-out — wish I could join ya! It's only a 10-hour drive. Have fun, Phantom Grappler!

MikekiM and I are doing something local this weekend.

If I’m lucky, I’ll get to trek with y’all
Sometime this winter, I might get some lighter gear...not2light4spring
If no one joins me this week...
Trip report will be about doing the whole figure8 ever day...just4fun

Last week, while car camping, I scrambled a whole frying pan of eggs and pork chops on alcohol burner...I ain’t lying
Three fancy feast stoves set close together touching. And fry pan on top
One alcohol stove will work—it’s too tippy
With three, fry pan doesn’t fall over
    Only problem—uses2 much alcohol fuel
    And extra space&grams in pack
    Ok4carcamping, but bad habits 2getin2

David, you still carrying that 14" skillet? Just kidding. Who but you would have thought to put 3 little stoves under 1pan? Sure wish I was up to a little walk, I would be all over that New Years hike. Enjoy your outing! Merry Christmas!

lol that's a neat trick! I wonder how much alky to fry a pound of bacon?

And yes indeed go solo if nobody else can make it. Maybe you will enjoy it... I find a way to have fun, messing with gear etc. The best part is, when it comes time to make a decision you have to consult with only one guy.

Sounds like a good time, sorry I cant join you all, been awhile since I have done any hiking.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
