Hoosier Winter Hang Jan 24-26, 2020

Trying new location for this Hang. My Mom has a 40 acre woods 8 miles north of Delphi, Indiana.
Nice Hickory trees to hang hammocks. Location is one half mile south of Hickory Grove Church Delphi Indiana. Put the church name in your phone to get a better idea of location. I will post a map after I figure out how to use Google Earth.

The site can be reached by truck to within 50 feet. Cars can make it also if you want to drive across a creek. If not it's only a short walk to site.(approximately 200 yards).

I hope to get there before the hang to cut and haul firewood to site. If I don't get ahead of time please bring a few bucks for seasoned ash firewood to pay my brother-in-law.

This is primitive camping, but creek water is nearby for filtering. Since parking is nearby, I suggest bring extra water and skip the filtering.

Saturday evening will be pitchin type meal. Please bring something to share.

Would like to see a bunch of Indy and Ft Wayne people there! Anyone,. any state are welcome to attend.

Please respond to post if you plan to attend.

No this Yogi does not hibernate!

I'll plan to go as long as I am in town. I have some friends up that way I need a reason to go see anyway. If I am around and able to make it, I'm perfectly happy to come cut some firewood if you want help.
Oooh, shiney! What does THIS button do?

Just completed cutting wood at Hang site. Also eliminated several Widow makers. Now all we need are some attendees. Brother-in-law says plenty of dry firewood in the old chicken house (chicken pop removed many years

Chris, and I should be there. I'll bring a couple of chickens to roast on the fire.

I'm interested. I only live about 1.5 north of there. Depending how cold it gets, I have mostly 3 season gear, but have made it down around freezing before.
