Just posted 12-20-19. Joe Robinet spends a night with Paul and Chad from UGQ and a dream hammock set up with UGQ quilts. Spends first 1/2 of video letting the UGQ guys set and explain the hammock and quilt set-up. Declares it is the best night sleep he has ever had in a hammock in his life.
After 1 day there are already 250,000 views. Would be interesting to hear if UGQ or DH can see an up tic in sales.

I like Joe's stuff and I LOVE that he partnered with DH and UGQ. Curious (as I haven't seen video yet) why or how he got involved in this?

Looks like he was invited down to Michigan and UGQ set him up with a full system. He clearly states he has no skill with hammocks and lets the UGQ guys do the lesson.

Yes, Joe is from Ontario, Canada and I am sure he has done trips in the US and has had several guest youtubers from the US on his channels for excursions. He used to be quite active on BushcraftUSA and it seems he still has a close relationship with some lads from there . As you mentioned , he has a successful channel. Maybe the vendors reached out to him? Jeff-oh mentioned it sounded like UGQ invited him down....
Anywho...Imma gonna go n watch the vid.... Thanks for the link. I did see it in my feed the other day but I was watching the vids he did with Doug Linker (and the Doug Linker vids with Joe). Joe's vids are good. Doug's vids are good. The two together are fantastic.

Joe’s known the folks at UGQ for a while, you’ll note a reference to Joe’s other UGQ topquilt during the setup of the hammock.

Yeah Thanks I finally got around to watching the video but it was like an hour long. Again like I said I love Joe I just don't like hour long videos. It looks like Joe must have had something on the works with those guys and that other YouTuber that was there.
Funny cuz I don't think they ever talk about it specifically.
Pretty cool crap though - UGQ #1 in my book for insulation and DH is the BOMB - nuff said great stuff
