    I have a bunch of different ridgelines on different hammocks and they all work quite well.
    Amsteel (on Warbonnet hammocks), dyneema https://shop.whoopieslings.com/Adjus...e-Line-ASR.htm and utility cord from REI https://www.rei.com/product/799630/p...ckage-of-50-ft.

    A little more info:

    Zing-it made into a whoopie sling. After much fiddling, it's set at close to 85 percent of the length of the hammock. Hammock length = 130 inches. Ridgeline length = 110 inches (more or less). Both hammock and ridgeline are DIY, thus the custom lengths.

    Lawson Ironwire UCRs on the majority, and fixed length Amsteel on my Warbonnets.

    Not sure which RL's you are polling but;

    For my tarps I use 2.2mm Zingit CRL and attach the tarp with a five wrap Klemists made from a 10" evo-loop. The button knot attached the tarp RL pullout. Easy to use even with gloves.

    I have been using Dynaglide for all my hammocks with a SRL. They are all adjustable as I use a long (11') UCR. works great...

    The hammock ridgeline is also referred to as the srl: structural ridge line. It can be any sort of line that has no or very little stretch. I prefer something that is able to hold my weight but it's not necessary. The srl connects the 2 ends of the hammock and thus setting the sag of the hammock. With an srl it doesn't matter how u string up your hammock as long as the srl is not too tight or too loose, the sag of the hammock will always be the same.

    Whoops I missed the poll on top of the page. I thought you wanted to know what a ridgeline is. I ll leave my answer up for others who happen on this thread unless someone points out I m wrong.
    Btw: I am using 2.5mm uhmwpe cordage from emma kites. I use it also for my suspension. It's the cheapest I have found and haven't had any issues with it.
