A TENT tent, or like a floorless mid?

I second what others have said - can't wait for the video! I'll be interested to see which tent you go with.

Wow. So much bashing. Eeyore and Tigger both lived in the 100 Acres wood. I didnt realize we had so many Eeyores hanging out in hammocks.
I'm not an Auburn fan, but I'd share a camp with her even though my blood runs Tennessee Orange. We all started once and we all had and still have questions. Just like my favorite Jimmy Buffet song, 'He went a hammocking with questions that bothered him so...

Planning to do a few trips where I may not be able to use a hammock.
I know I will miss my hammock.

That you may but your still doing the primary purpose of people enjoying the outdoors! Enjoy the desert!

That's pretty harsh. She's learning about hammocks, giving them a second shot. This "clueless girl" has hiked the Triple Crown, I think she's got plenty going on.

Nice! People seem to love their tarptents. I dislike tents for some reason (I want to like them but always find myself miserable in one) and stick with a mid when I have to go to ground, but I hope you enjoy your tarptent! I look forward to your review. Also, desert camping is pretty rad. Few things are more spectacular than the sight of the night sky in clear, dry desert air with no light pollution.

Your right, she just rubs me the wrong way. I think she’s a shameless self promoter. That being said, she certainly has trail cred!

Don’t forget she also hiked from France all the way across Spain on the Camino de Santiago. Kudos to her for getting outside her comfort zone and trying new things.
