Does anyone have any info on the MN frozen butt hang?
I haven't seen any mention of it here and from what I can see publicly on the facebook group it still showing last year's info.

The last I saw on it was they were moving to a different campground and implementing a strict substance abuse policy. Sounds like it may have become a closed group.
Time us diehard winter hangers, and active HF members, start our own??
not "too big to fail"
I miss the old pulk in hangs here in MN.
Cut down the crowd (15 to 20 people is perfect!!!) and made it an adventure.
Matter of finding a good place.

Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
I do not see alcohol use as substance abuse, but then I am a bit myopic.
Any darn fool can drink. It takes a man to say when he has had enough!
HYOH
Yea I have nothing nice to say about what it became and those seeking a good ego stroking. I find it funny that they are enforcing "policies" seeing how they thought it was fine to use a gas powered auger in a wilderness area.
Once you're lost in twilight's blue, you don't find your way, the way finds you.
Propane powered auger, which I was told was OK in that area?
I agree though, it became less than enjoyable due to the size of the crowd. There's been talk, on the good side of the border, of doing our own thing. Might get posted if it happens.
MOTORS NOT ALLOWED
With the exception of a few lakes, motors are not allowed in the Boundary Waters. This applies to all motorized equipment: boat motors, electric trolling motors, chainsaws, power augers, generators, pumps, snowmobiles, ATV’s, remote control boats and planes, etc. You cannot have them in your possession, whether in use or not.
Edit: Actually now that I think about it they were probably legal. The boundary for the wilderness starts a little further up on Sawbill. I always forget you're not actually in the park there till you pass these little islands etc. So my bad. Still didn't think it was very cool though.
