Good news! Thanks for checking for us.
A day camping in the rain is better than a good day at work,

tsshaw78 is too hard to say on the trail - Just call me Shaw.
Do not be surprised that the trail may be crowded. With everyone trying to find things to do and social distancing being asked for. Crowder Mt just shut down due to the large crowds. Still not sure if I will be able to make it. If I do. it will be a hike in after work or a catch-up hike in on Saturday. Have fun if I don’t make it.

All, I just saw a notice that Cabarrus County where I live issued a stay at home proclamation. While I probably could still make this trip and not get in trouble, it is not my nature to knowingly go against such directives.
Therefore, I'm sorry to say I won't be making this trip. As trip organizer I guess that either means the trip is cancelled or turned over to another to lead the trip.
I know I'll be wishing I was there but I also want to abide by the county order and in doing so help get this COVID-19 behind us to resume normal life.
Again, sorry that it has come to this.

Shaw, you gotta do what you gotta do. Not your fault! Best to observe and obey laws, rules, and regulations; doubly so4 matters concerning health, life and death.
I’m still planning on being there at 400pm Friday early Early as long as I’m not breaking any laws, rules or regulations. If the trail is closed when we get there, I’ll go home and camp in my woods. Anyone can join our ragtag group at Jumping Off Rock Trailhead or my woods depending on situation at that time.
Im still down to hike
Not all those who wander are lost
Not going to be able to make the hike due to prior commitment

I’m packing riiiiiiight now. See you at 400. And if you arrive Saturday morning early Early, you will
easily be able to catch us about a mile and a half in...somewhere along creek after you cross creek.
