Good luck and have fun, wish I weren't stuck at home.

A day camping in the rain is better than a good day at work,

tsshaw78 is too hard to say on the trail - Just call me Shaw.
Me and Tom_tom are at Jumping Off Rock Trailhead and will hike north on Uwharrie Trail. Cross the creek and camp near trail as it parallels the creek. About a mile and a half total from cars. Easy to catch us Saturday morning at our first camp and possibly our base camp4 Saturday night as well.
What if me and and Tom_tom trek out of wilderness Sunday morning to find no one left alive on the whole planet!
Camping tonight top of Little Long Mountain.
I’m beta testing Yooper stoves. Today same stove Hickery used to smoke us all at Yates “Purdy Boil” contest.
The larger diameter Yooper stove with diagonal spiral markings on stove is good for larger diameter mugs, like my Snowpeak 1400 mug. Good4not tipping over and spilling muh coffee. Don’t ask me how I know...
Yooper also makes smaller diameter stoves that are a better fit for 750 mugs and below.
Gonna see a sunset and sunrise here from the balds here at top of Little Long Mountain.
Me and Tom_tom found some trees to hang our hammocks 50 yards from three sided shelter. It’s full of wasps and hornets. Not many good hang spots here at top. But we saw hang spot close to top on way up.
If I run low on water after coffee this afternoon, I’ll have to hike back to creek a mile and a half one way!
Gotta have muh java!
Got photos of sunrise and sunset at top of mountain. Two cons to camping there.
Not many trees for a group of hammock campers—you would be dispersed.
All water must be hiked-carried up the mountain from the creek.
I carried three full liters up Saturday morning and went back to creek Saturday afternoon and got 3more liters!
Yooper larger diameter stove worked very well. I used Snowpeak 1400 mug. It did not tip over, and would be good for a frying pan or full sized coffee pot. Thanks Yooper Stoves!
See y’all soon—I hope...

Looks great. Nice to know there are nice views up there.
