    If you don't want to change the length of the ridgeline, the only way to change the tautness is to change the length of the hammock suspension - which results in a different hang angle. If the ridgeline is too tight, lengthen the suspension. The hang angle will increase. If the ridgeline has too much slack, shorten the suspension. The hang angle will decrease.
