Nice idea! Wonder if it's cost prohibitive (additional time and labor pricing it out of what people are willing to pay(?)) but I would certainly have "extreme" interest in square bottom bags.

Having more than 1 option in the marketplace never hurts to spur innovation.

My vote was UQP for the same reason. What's available is great, but not many options available for mix-matched kit. Ie., widths and features.

Maybe an under quilt with a new suspension system altogether? Kind of along the lines of Leviola’s idea with stretchy tapered ends (as opposed to primary and secondary shock cord suspension) for fool proof set up?

I personally have my standard UQ suspension dialed in, and it presents no problems for me (other than an occasional small annoyance of feeling the shock cord on the foot end), but, I still see posts where people have difficulty getting their UQ set up properly.

I think an insulated hammock (sewn-on UQ) would be a popular item.

If you want to tinker with ultra-custom UQ options that are not patent-infringing, you might consider something along the lines of the ol' Speer Snug-Fit with spandex ends (no longer produced). It has Wookie-like properties without being a Wookie. It would also have a more reasonable production time compared to a high-labor clew suspension.

I did an in-depth write-up on possible ways to make this design work. I would be interested in seeing someone produce something with it. No other manufacturer is making something like this that i am aware of. Stretch-mesh fabrics come in a bewildering number of prints and colors, and that would definitely appeal to people.

    leiavoia,

Those are some very good ideas.

I know over time, spandex can loose its elasticity. Maybe that is a reason cottage vendors are avoiding this modification. Though the Wookie is very popular.

    Merry Christmas.

    Wow, a sewn-on under-quilt, wish I'd thought of that.

A down UQ that would fit a HH similar to the KAQ Potomac!!!

How about a "customizable" Wanderlust package with a few more available options? It would be great to have the option to choose a different tarp...or maybe even select different insulation colors. It seems like a great package that might appeal to a wider audience with just a few more basic options.

Not really a new product, but maybe more like a new package.

A down pullover would be what I'd like to see.
