    Ghost Pepper versus Dragon's Breath?

Can someone please help out old El Gordo, and explain the difference between the Ghost Pepper and the Dragon's Breath top quilts? The description of the Ghost Pepper mentions "chevron" baffles, while the Dragon's Breath mentions "diamond" baffles as in the Carolina Reaper - which is described as having chevron baffles. Both have an insulated foot box as an option, so what gives?

I have one of each and I think that the diamond pattern on the Dragon's Breath just closes up a little bit of the chevron pattern making the down stay put a little better. I've never had problems with down shifting through the chevron in my Carolina Reapers or Ghost Pepper without me moving it, but the opening for the down to move from diamond to diamond is a little smaller and shouldn't move out of the diamond without help.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! I guess my old eyes can't spot the difference between the diamond and the chevron patterns from the photos. From the descriptions, I thought they might just be different names for the same pattern.

The Ghost Pepper has Chevron baffles that run side to side to control down. The Dragons Breath has diamond baffles that run vertically allowing you to shift the down and create focused areas that have more or less down. Cold feet - shift some down to the foot area. Cold torso, well you get the idea. If you are using the quilt this way just realize that when one area gets warmer, one will get cooler, but that can be offset with extra down.

Thanks, George! I think I get it now. The chevrons keep insulation from shifting to the right and left edges of the quilt, while the diamond baffles allow insulation to move up and down the quilt.
