    Working from a very poor memory here.. But I think I removed the straps from the buckles. Then where the lines are attached at the hammock buckle, open up the lark's head loop large enough to get the buckle through the eye of the amsteel, once that end is done you can remove the other end that is attached to the buckle loop. Lark's head the end back on the hammock buckles and you have the other ends free for what every you want to attach them with.

    Thanks for the help. I figured it out. I didn't realize they the dogbones are larkskeaded onto the buckle.
