Hi, I really like this idea, maybe with a second reinforcement patch of silpoly bonded on the area, then the grosgrain rolled in to the hem. Is it possible you could post a close up photo of the corner / baseline / door pullout reinforcement please as I'd like to do this too. Intuitively it seems better to me than a big box stitch through the silpoly because the hem has most of the strength I think. I have very littel experience in this though but it looks like your tarps have seen some real use. Lovely photos!
