Be mindful that these are the Compact model and only extend fully to 49 inches. Too short for us six footers.

    Woops.
Wish I had known they were for 5'8" or shorter, I was in the process of buying when that info was being posted. Trying to get in during the alloted time. Anybody want to buy a new pair of trekking poles?

I rather like a shorter pole. But I already have about three pair of trekking poles so I don't need more. You will notice the difference climbing and descending steep/rocky areas. But otherwise you should not have a problem with them unless you are _way_ over the range. I rarely if ever change the height of my poles and just adjust my stance when they are "too short." I use mine mostly for balance and cadence monitoring so the length may not be a critical as it would be for someone else. YMMV
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

    Yeah - I didn't read that much detail b/c I already have poles...just passing on a deal.

I rarely adjust my poles either unless it's a really long up or down. On normal uphills I just hold lower on the pole, and on downhills I put my hands on the tops of the poles.

Not a problem Jeff. I should have checked the specs before tapping the buy button. I was working with less than 4 minutes on the deal and the caffeine made me do it.
Steep and Cheap does have a decent return policy tho, most I'll be out is shipping.
