Ha! Total brain fart on my part since my phone contact for you pops up as Charlie Bushcraft.
Here's another one from the GT history archives. I think this was taken from our current fire pit location. Note the mound on the left compared to the current picture with a tent on it:

For any cold tent hangers (if there’s any left...?) I’ve a new dutchware 11’ winter sock, vented, I’m willing to let go for very cheap. I’ll bring it and you can check it out.
I spoke with the owner of Mill Street Pizza to confirm the parking. She was fine with that. Pizza was insanely good as usual! GT lot was cleared out nicely.
It's looking good. I went out over the weekend and tried real hard at having a heart attack going in, even worse going out after 3" of the stickiest fresh snow I've ever seen. The ruts in the trail don't look like much, but suck the toboggan in. No chance of staying in the middle. What a PITA!!
See you soon!
I didn't make it last year, but thought I heard something about a parachute canopies for the fire. Or do we need some extra tarps for a sitting area in case it's snowing?
It's being looking into, far as I know. Finding a reasonable one (price / condition) is part of the hunt to finding one, so I understand.
I always have another tarp or two, plus paracord. Plus we can always just rotate among hot tent cabins as needed.... /smile
Ok thanks. Thought I would ask since I have a 16' Kelty Noah that gets no love. Not even sure where I have it stored. Maybe it's a 12'? Shows how much I use it!
p.s. I was taking a good look at the beaver dam this past weekend. What a mess! But impressive. He's got softball-sized rocks built into it!
I’ll be out and can’t wait haven’t been out since dec. I must be getting grumpy, the wife keeps asking when you going camping. I’ll try to add too the google doc. But I’ll be bringing oatmeal bars and cookies and cowboy pork beans I made at deer camp that turned out really good. Looking forward to seeing everyone and be safe on your drives up.
