    Finally teaching myself to sew

It's not much... But my Dutch netless and my bugnet don't fit together in the stuff sack that came with the hammock. So here's my first attempt at sewing my own gear.

It's ugly if you look too close, but should be functional.

I have plenty of gear i made that i have used for years that wouldn't be considered pretty by any stretch. The important part is the pride of using something you made with your own hands.

Congrats on the project. Hope to see some more from you soon.

You can't see with ends closed off. But when I pinned my seam to close the tube I shifted everything a quarter inch and they aren't aligned. Not sure how I missed that but... it does what I need.

Nice work. Don't be too critical of your first try. They're usually a learning experience, and your work will improve with time and practice. Keep moving your skills forward!

Thanks for the kind words. This should be the first of many stuff sacks, then my daughter would love a new hammock.

Some of my favorite and most used gear is ugly stuff I made myself.

A summer climasheild top quilt is an easy and cheap project.

    Or a tarp.

    Or more stuff sacks.

    Or a pillow.

    Or or or or....
