They make doors for the standard hex tarp!?! Hmmm

Silnylon/poly tarps are almost inexpensive enough to get a couple/few different configurations.

But if you're spending big money on DCF, I think it's wise to go big once and done. The hex w/ doors at minimum. That way you can use it in some pretty bad weather, but it won't be overkill in easy weather either. And the Palace...you're totally set but it costs more than my life.

Thanks again! One other question... if I opted for the tarp with linelocs and didn't like them, I'm guessing I could also just run cordage through the loops that hold the linelocs and use my old system?

Any idea how that setup will fare if I go to ground? I live in Yosemite and sometimes camp where there are no trees.

I'm sorta guessing, but if the doors aren't conducive to a setup on the ground, you can always just tie them back to the panel pulls, and then it would be like they're not there.

Yes, you could do that, but how easy that would be depends on the length of the loop of ribbon HG sews the Linelocs onto. There might not be a lot of slack there to run another piece of cord through. Likewise, you could just tie a loop of cord through the opening in the Lineloc, treating it like a D-ring instead of a tensioner.

For argument's sake, you could get the tarp with Beastie D's, and order these separately. The hook end of these will attach to the D's.

Just be careful and get some close-up photos. BPW is renowned for atrocious "workmanship." Zoom in on the stitching and hems on those doors and it looks as if it was made by a total noob.

I'm aware of his rep, but I heard that things are all good there now.
