    Pigs are flying in the frozen hell, because I think I actually miss summer a little. I went at it hard this summer for the first time and I seemed to acclimatize to it quite well. Mostly base camping and swimming must be involved though...the 10 mile hikes in heat are still likely out.

    But...I just got the pulk out and organized my heavy winter gear. I'm ready!! Hoping for sub-zero highs at least one trip.

    Cold Front

    I slept outside last night in South Louisiana. it got down to 29 degrees and the wind was blowing steady until the wee hours of the morning. I can't believe it froze in South Louisiana before winter!

    Yes, I was warm enough, but I'd put the sleeping bag back in, under the OCF pad.
