If you have the HG snakeskins, as a previous poster noted there are no pockets for the excess ridgeline. Do people recommend just winding it up and putting a rubber band around the excess? Mine have titanium hooks on the end that tend to catch on a lot of things.
    thanks

I just wrap the RL cordage around the tarp bundle to compress it, and then tuck the last little bit back under itself. Works well. I have the 12' HG Dyneema tarp, and have never found it to be "bulky" doing it this way.

My Standard with doors and Palace both have split RLs, so there is only a short amount of cordage hanging from the ends of the skin. I stop halfway into rolling the tarp up with the skin on and wind the first RL around it, then finish rolling it and wrap the second RL around it... it all goes in a DCF stuff sack.

My Standard has a CRL, I do it the same way but I figure-8 the long end first, and tuck it the folds of the tarp as I am rolling it.. short end is the same as above and this too, goes in a DCF stuff sack.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Mine happens just like this ^^^^^ also, except for the stuff sack. Although I think it is a good idea.

This looks great, I might still use the stuff sack to protect the mesh and tarp, just wrap the free cordage around. I know it sounds simple, but when you add some tiny titanium hardware to the ends of the zing it they seem to grab on anything and tangle the line, almost like velcro. (apologies to the no hardware group)

You do it the same way? Why am I not surprised?
