It is in the group site at Grayson. Car camping. The raffle usually covers the firewood. Bring money for the raffle.

If this ends up being MLK weekend or the following weekend I might try and make the trip down. The main downside is the long drive from where I am, but it sounds like a grand event.

I am planning to go do the Triple Crown before coming to Grayson. I plan to get there, probably, Thursday afternoon. That should give me the "choicest spot" 😀

Never been to one of these group hangs and why not make it in my home state. I know this is in a state park and going to guess that any RV parking is probably shut down due to water limitations. However, is there any anything preventing me from bringing mine and “dry” camping? I will be hanging outside, but would like to give my wife an opportunity to participate in the group activities. She requires a bit more comfort than a hammock. If she only knew....

There is an overflow parking lot or just park on the road. We are the only people there.

Having never been to this place, I did a satellite view of the camp area. I see what looks to be a bath house. I am going to guess that this place has no water. I did see on an old post that there was a porta-potty supplied by the park. Do we need to bring our own water?

There is water available at the Ranger station on the way in. It is turned off at the group site. Slowhike should have planning thread up soon. In the meantime ,refer to last years.
