Shauney’s awesome playlist is making this fire an epic night under the stars. We are so thankful for a beautiful night with great friends all due to this forum for hammock camping!
Everyone should plan an outing soon and often!!

Jessie found this interestingly versatile and inexpensive down quilt/jacket/wrap on Amazon I think.

Shauney decided to try the down jacket out and didn't want to give it back!
Doesn't this look like a sumo costume to you?? I can picture 2 people bouncing bellies in these!
I need the term Jessie used to find that item, because as dorky as it looked, it ALSO looked exceedingly useful. As they say, "if it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid."
Also, I want to reiterate that Faceplant has ruined all sausage for me, because that deer stuff was freaking amazing.
Hope everyone made it back alright! I’m definitely glad I made it even if it was just for the last night. It didn’t get as cold as February but there was some decent wind chill through the night! And yeah that quilt is under the Asta Gear brand on amazon. They should have the 40 or so degree which is what I got for around $60. There’s another online which is around $80 and supposedly rated for 32* or so. It definitely kept me toasty sitting around the fire!
Had a great time and looking forward to the next one! I'm focussing on being better prepared, especially for cold weather. Have almost convinced myself to order a new top quilt. The sleeping bag alone wasn't warm enough. The down throw helped, but kept slipping off. A nice 20° quilt should keep me toasty and I could wear it as well. They are on sale for BFri along with free shipping. Sleeping cold was the challenge. Can we have a March Airey Hang? If so, I will try to bring Jaron. Meanwhile neighbors will observe me sometimes hammock sleeping on my back deck.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Just thinking about all the fun we had last weekend! Let's do it again soon!
Can we plan a fall hang? I am recovering from heart bypass surgery and could use something to look foward to in the future. Life sucks right now! Anyone interested in a fall south ms hang?
