    Mississippi Airey Lake 2019 Fall Hang 11 / 22-24

It's a south Mississippi hang at Airey Lake the weekend before Thanksgiving! Running water, rest room, lots of trees, free camping, and great hiking trail are included! Located near McHenry, MS on Airey Tower Rd in Desoto National Forest about 30 miles north of Gulfport. Link below has more info.

    https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/miss...a/?recid=28835

I want to thank tuxhiker for getting this hang started.

I’m on the road now, and I can’t edit the sign up sheet. I’ll make coffee with the percolator and cook eggs made to order, for Saturday breakfast.

Bittersweet for me. I hope my son is still in the playoffs. But if not, twisted arm, I’ll be there. Look forward every year hanging with y’all.

Does anyone have a folding aluminum table? If not, I will get one. Mine was carroded so I threw it out. I had planned to replace it eventually. There are a few tables at the lake, but there are more hanging options if you don't need a picnic table.

How did ya'll cook last year (open fire, grill, stove, etc)? I have a small, backpacking size Jet Boil and a small portable gas grill. I could plan hamburgers on the gas grill or could make red beans and rice ahead of time. I don't have a large camping stove since I've not camped with a large group since college a zillion years ago.
