    Foot End Height

Curious of how high other Chameleon users hang the foot end above their head end. My WBBB XLC was a definitive 16” higher, but I’m still experimenting with an optimal height difference for the Chameleon. Right now, I’m usually only around 6” higher to feel comfortable, but am concerned this isn’t enough to keep me from sliding down during the night. I am using a symmetrical bug net.

Looking forward to the feedback. Thanks.

When I use my Chameleon, I'd say my foot end is usually 0"-6" higher. Not as much as the BB.

In the Chameleon, I also don't lay with my head as close to the peak as I would to hit the sweet spot in the BB. So sliding downward isn't as much an issue, even with a nearly level hang.

Hmmm. I lay with my shoulder even with the second pack hook, which is pretty close to the peak. I was just mimicking what I did in the BB. I need to try sliding down, and that would definitely eliminate the sliding I’ve experienced. I wonder if Dutch has a recommendation of a foot end height difference or head/shoulder position for the chameleon, like warbonnet does for the BB?

He suggests about 6" as well.

This is where I messed up going from a Dutch Half Zip to a Warbonnet Eldorado. On the WB, I hung the foot end about 6"-8" higher than the head end...and had horrible calf ridge until I readjusted higher. I think it's partially due to the material as well. The DW is Hexon 1.6 which is kinda stretchy compared to the WB 70d nylon.
