    Greetings from the Pennsylvania Wilds

Greetings all! I’m a new convert to hammock hanging and looking forward to cold winter nights in a warm hammock. I’m from North Central PA, home of the largest section of woods in Pennsylvania without roads. I work in Eastern PA so I don’t spend as much time up North as I would like. Next May I plan on doing an 85 mile hike through there with my new hammock setup. I’m going with 4 friends, most of which are getting new hammocks for the trip. So far I’ve spent one night in the woods, and of course it snowed, and I was snug as a bug in my Dutchware Chameleon. Why didn’t I make this switch sooner?

I have some tweaking to do, for example I think my ridge line was too tight and I may need to ditch the sleeping bag for a top quilt. More to come.
