Hanging spots on Sam's Knob loop?

Planning on hiking this loop with our Scout troop this weekend. I have never been. Trail guide I've been reading says campsites with plenty of tent and hammock sites. Have you found this to be accurate? Thanks in advance.

I’ve done the loop but always solo or just a couple people so can’t comment on group sites.

There are a number of Black Balsam forests that are great for hanging and I’d guess be fine for tents. You can see them on satellite maps - usually darker green. See the parking area at the end of Black Balsam Knob Road for an example.

Is this the loop you are doing? Be sure to stop by Devils Courthouse if so.

Yes, that is the loop. Thank you. I feel better than we might find some trees. I'm not above sleeping on the dirt, but I do prefer the elevation of the hammock. Thanks again.

Had a wonderful time (in spite of carrying the bear canister). Plenty of water. We had a group of 10 and everyone was able to find hang spots (3 of us) and tent spots. That was a good loop for many of our scouts as it was their first backpacking overnighter in those temperatures.
