I just received an HH UL Explorer Asym Zip. Inside and fastened to a loop is a small stretch cord. The other side of the interior has another loop sewed in. Anyone know the purpose for this? Thanks

Is this what you're asking about?
A photo showing the location might help, but do you mean the two tie out's for your asym's? The asym corners can be staked out on a shock cord to help get into a diagonal lay position easier. Depending on their location it might also be the bug net tie or for the double bubble pad they sell. It has one clip location near the head and one near the feet to secure the pad into position.
Thats exactly what I was looking for. Thanks CMC
My HH had a little loop sewn into the very ends where the whipping is. The purpose was to secure whatever.
Someplace in Hennessy's propaganda about his hammocks the use of the loops is discussed. Evidently a lot of purchasers do not know the loops exist.
My HH had a loop for the zip bug net and loops for the HH winter pad-thing.
I bought my HH back several years ago so it is possible designs have changed. Call HH and ask.
There for the Double Bubble pad.

My setup video explains it!
