Good morning fellow Hammockers.
Im Rheo from NH. I write to you from the cozy confines of my wanderlust. It’s 5 AM here, on a local mountain side, temperatures are in the high teens and the wind is gusting 5 to 10. I’ve managed a few hours of sleep tonight, but the wind is doing a decent job rustling the alpine trees I am anchored on, reminds me of sleeping on a boat
No matter if I can’t sleep I have an unobstructed view of a crystal clear night sky. No need for a bug net tonight! However the tarp may have been good to keep the wind away but I couldn’t bare to lose the view.
I’m fairly surprised at how warm I am, I went with the 20° under quilt and it certainly is a comfort rating, you can trust that. I’m still getting used to the laying pattern but I think it won’t take too many more sleeps to be snug as a bug.
Special thanks to Shug for his great videos that introduced me to hammocking!
