It was a fun time for our first group hang (there was more than 2 of us so I guess we can consider it a group hang). Weather turned out great, fire was great and I was pleasantly surprised at the temperature difference in using the winter top cover on my chameleon. Just over a 10 deg difference and even with the vents completely closed, no condensation on the inside of my hammock. Thanks deerless and datahiker for making the trip. My daughter was a little nervous about the bathroom facilities there, but something is better than nothing and she made it through. The short hike to and from the lean-to was muddy, but the site itself was pretty dry. Going to have to make the trek there again. Nice spot for a short quick overnight.

Are you planning on another hang this fall? If so, would you consider a different weekend? (I would have been there if it wasn't the holiday weekend, with my daughter home from college).

Dana,
We were planning on trying to set up a spring or summer hang and fall winter hang, but with everything going on, we haven't planned anything yet. The Black Friday hang we did last fall was something that was thrown together quickly so if we get to have a fall hang it will probably be on a different weekend. My son is going to be going away to college too this fall (hopefully) so it will be tough for me too this year.
Right now it seems to be a waiting game to see when things open up. I'm itching to get out. The day hikes my family have been doing every weekend just don't cut it.
Count me in. I'd love to see more people interested and participating in this group hang.
