I would show more instead of just referring to the thread, but that would just muddle everything up.

ADDENDUM: ha! I just saw MikeM offered to make you a ridgeline. Take him up on it. I've not met anyone yet so willing to reach out and help.

The toggle is a cool way to make then tensioner on the CRL, but we can redesign that RL so you have no hardware if you want to!!

There are a few knots I use with zingit that hold fine.. The double dragon, bowline, water knot, fisherman's knot...
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I was dubious that this would work with Zing-it but I did a 5-wrap and it held fine when very well dressed and cinched.

With Glowire it holds great with only 2 wraps.

Farrimond Friction Hitch is one of my favorites
It’s the ONLY slip and grip hitch tied in the bight— that is no need to access either end. Also it’s Nonjamming and quick release. actually an exploding knot—when you pull ripcord, entire knot disappears.
Fast too, each wrap gives two coils, I use five or six wraps ( 10 to 12 coils ) on amsteel and Zingit.
Also I daisy chain that last bight for added stability.
    Great for tarp lines
I don’t use Farrimond Friction Hitch on hammock suspension.

    Good points all!

I learned a new term, which you probably already know... when you have to pull the working end of the cord through the knot to tie it, that's called "reeving" So Farrimond is a no-reeving hitch. (Reeve-less?)

I suppose Lapp Hitch and J-Bend are also considered no-reeving... exploding as they are.

I bereeve you right. I know you right
Haven’t heard that term in long time...
Sometimes I get lost in a knot if having to reeve each step, like losing stuff in pack or pockets

I know you showed me the Lapp Hitch half a dozen times.. but I need to see it again. I'll remind you this weekend. I've tried it a few times, but muscle memory hasn't set in yet...

Indeed, will do! When you get right down to it, Lapp is the simplest hitch on Earth.

There is also a little trick for positioning it precisely. I like the foot end CL connection point to be about chin high, so I lay the webbing over the CL and pinch it near the end of the CL so that it is at that height. Then pull the CL through pinched fingers so that the loop is big enough to pull the slipped bight of webbing through it, and finish by pulling the CL back toward the hammock to cinch/set. That way it ends up where intended. But I'd guess that almost everybody (which is only a few!) who uses the Lapp Hitch has stumbled across this, obvious as it is...

Understand exactly what you are talking about. The Lapp Hitch works beautifully in local parks near my home. When on the trail, something in my brain forces my hands to create a Becket Hitch. Habits are hard to break.
