Not trying to divert this thread, but Farrimond Friction Hitch is a great way to hang a food bag. It allows easy height adjustment of the food bag to prevent that 7 foot height that is sometimes seen on the trail. Untying the knot makes it possible to break camp quickly and get on with the hike. Only downside is being easy to mess up when hurried and tying too quickly.

I like the Farrimond much better than a taut line hitch because there is no need to wrap the whole "tail" end of the rope around to make loops (though I suppose I could just double over the "tail" line to make a slippery taut line). There is a little problem with Nite-ese type reflective line. It has reflective inserts that "catch" and keep the line from sliding to make a tight/dressed knot. Works great with their Figure-9's but not so good with sliding (prussic) style knots.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
If you are talking about zing-it or lash-it, I received excellent solutions in this thread:

I now use zine-it for my continuous ridge line with mini-ucr's to adjust it, connected by soft shackles. Those mini-ucr's are the bomb. Then at the top is a button knot that slips into a loop, soft-shackle like, so there isn't any knot tying of this slippery stuff. The other end of the ridgeline has a plastic toggle which is my one concession to hardware-free.
I would show more instead of just referring to the thread, but that would just muddle everything up.
ADDENDUM: ha! I just saw MikeM offered to make you a ridgeline. Take him up on it. I've not met anyone yet so willing to reach out and help.

LOL. Ok, knots for making soft-shackles of Zing-It: I could not for the life of me get button knots figured out reliabley, so when with this from Tac-Blades, via Jeff-Oh. Easy as pie and solid. I buried the ends a little shorter than in the video and seems to work fine...but ya never know.
