Cool Pre-Planning our spring hang for 2020!

During our fall hang (awesome as always) we began discussing our spring hang. Heading back to the Rim seemed to be of interest to most, so Jim, Dennis and I went off exploring new territory. We have found one spot that we hope to be able to use. It's called Upper Canyon Creek Campground - just north of Young, AZ.

If all else fails, we could always go back to our Wildcat location near Heber. That is always open -

More details and discussion as we go along.

Dates - nothing set yet, kinda depends on weather. When we set the date, it will be firm so everyone can plan around it.

In the meantime, WINTER is coming!

    Randy

I’ve camped at this site before. Its a nice spot. Great for fly fishing as well, if you are into that sort of thing.

And I am into that sort of thing! It’s one of the reasons I liked it!

It is a nice spot. Plenty of trees, and the road in is pretty good, no problem for cars.
As a former Floridian who flyfished for saltwater species, I can’t get into fishing for minnows, but the creek is nice.
Maybe I’ll bring my 12wt outfit and try it.

Best stand of trees I've seen anywhere would easily accommodate 75 plus hangers, another one of Az great spots. i'm in whenever you set dates.

    Hey Guys!

Just a heads up that SoCal Hangers booked the sites for our hang on April 15-20th. I wasn't sure if you would want to know for planning purposes in case there were folks form the AZ hang that wanted to come out my way and folks from out my way that would want to go out to AZ.

Hoping I can make it out your way in Spring.

    Take care all!

Depending on the dates, I might take a few days off prior and drive-camp-drive-camp my way down to AZ.
Red Belt Grand Master Barista. Don't ask me about it, or there will be coffee made.

Excellent - then we would have time to talk, as opposed to my fall hang experience.
