    Tarp fabric help

I’m looking for a light weight tarp that can withstand some serious use I’ve heard a few people say that the DCF fabric is only good for one season so in that case is it worth the extra ounces to go with a different fabric and if choosing a different fabric what would you choose
    thank you

DCF (formerly cuben fiber) is very tough, and can withstand harsh weather no problem. Not sure where you heard that DCF was fragile.

Aside from that, silnylon will be stronger than silpoly; but it will also stretch more with constant tension on it- and especially when it gets wet.

    Tarp fabric help

So the DCF can handle being put into snakeskins multiple times over a Long distance height without the material breaking down and causing water leaks this is basically my biggest concern spending the money on something that’s not going to last
I do take care of my gear I just use it a lot
    Thank you

There are a lot of thru hikers with DCF tents that are used hard and have held up well over the last few years.

I've been using my DCF Winter Palace from HG for the last seven years - it looks brand new. I'm not sure where you heard this "one season" idea.
