Feb will be the 11 year anniversary of this trip, which I THINK was the first HF/Sipsey group hang. Not long after the picture was taken we got about 5" of snow:

I'd be interested depending on what dates y'all decide on. Has there been any decision made? I just got back from there this past weekend. We took the Scout troop down for a quick overnighter. We love backpacking in Sipsey.

How was the water level. With the amount of rain we've been having I'm amazed that many of the trails aren't flooded.

Also, did you hear any shooting, or see any hunters? I wonder if any deer hunters bother with the wilderness area since they would have to drag the meat out with out a vehicle. I have some blaze orange, but not enough to cover a pack. I wish I could know that they didn't bother to hunt in there with rifles. Otherwise always makes me a little nervous, especially without lots of blaze orange.

We hiked down Braziel creek crossed over a tree to get to the west side of 207 to continue on down to the Borden Creek bridge at 224. Water levels were very high. Most of the trails were in good shape but there were some muddy spots. The plus side is all the little waterfalls were really flowing. No shooting that we heard. I'm not sure if any hunts were going on down there or not.

This hang isn't looking good if we don't even have a winter? Plus rain every weekend but I still got my hopes up!
