Please dont suggest another hammock, I try to choose between:

I would take the wider hammock. 58" is too narrow for my taste.

If netless, are you planning on carrying a separate net? It only takes one bug/mosquito to Ruin a nap. I carry a HUG net for day trips or environments where there are Not Supposed To Be bugs. WarBonnot’s hammocks are the ones I return to after trying others for variety.

    Hi cougarmeat!

Yes I have a diy hug bugnet and a bottom entry.

I already own dutchware hammocks, dd hammocks and some diy, I want a hammock for every member of my family and I want to try a new one

The only gear I have from Warbonnet is a tarp.
I know that the Blackbird is a great hammock, but im wondering about the netless.

You would certainly save some weight - even more if you went Single layer. But I make a difference between a hammock I’d take on a day hike for just relaxing in the afternoon and one I’d use for overnight/multiday trips. And a lot has to do with local knowledge about bug and temperatures. I’m not a long mileage hiker. And in the spirit of transparency, most my camping is by kayak. But even on foot, I’m from the Big Pack and Heavy Boots generation. A few extra ounces to assure comfort in unknown situations doesn’t bother me.

To be clear, I have more than a couple of Netless hammocks. It’s just that if I take them, I always also take the HUG - unless I know absolutely, positively, no take backs, that there won’t be bugs. If I’m going over night, I’ll take a hammock with a built-in net or, just to change things up, a netless hammock with one of those full enclosure add-ons nets.
