Sorry I just saw the signup sheet.
I will try to open my barn and get a tarp for a common area. We might need extra rope though, I gave a bunch to my Troop.. (I have a few inches of ice to get through)

Don’t worry about tarps or rope for the common area. We have that.... get ready for it..... covered.

So I went to the site today and the entire area is still covered with snow. Crusty snow anyways. Make sure you bring some traction devices for your feet. Something like microspikes. Crampons are to stiff. There is running water at the site so you don’t have to worry about that. We have access to electricity at another building if you need it for whatever reason.

There is light rain in the forecast unfortunately. We will have tarps that cover most of the common area as well as there being lean to shelters to take cover as well.

I also bought 1/2 cord of firewood like normal so we have plenty to use we can also scrounge if needed.

Today I cut down new timbers for our tripod so they should last quite a while. I should have that setup by the time everyone starts getting in.

There should be plenty of ice on the pond to wall on or if you desire to ice fish as well. Usually get pickerel or perch. Sometimes bass and rarely trout.

There are a couple of smaller stores about a 10 minute drive if you need anything.

Feel free to ask any questions or pm if needed.

    Tim.

Once again, health issues and home responsibilities preclude my attendance. #$%:&&"$!

My hope is to be at the Harold Hang, and to try to get a hang in at The Pines before that. At least I have my new winter gear set. I am as disappointed as I can be at the moment, but will continue to shoot for another winter hang someplace.

Enjoy the hang and the company, and search Raiff for Thermite.

On Route 143 I put out to orange safety cones at the entrance to the camp where we are staying. So look out for those just wear of the town garage.

Got the fire going for you and there is 100% snow cover.

Go Tim! I got my own stove and -148 degree boots! I won’t be complaining about my feet or asking to use your stove!
