I’d like to join you guys. What time does it start and what can I bring?
I see some dog pictures, would be great to meet folks who bring their puppy hammocking.
Hi FromNH, welcome! If you bring your dog, just make sure he/she stays super warm. It can be quite cold just hanging out. I tend to not bring my dog winter camping, but who knows, maybe you have a malamute! Will be great to meet you.

Thanks Stacy! Will be good to see you again as well! Ali wants to...depends on her grad school schdule. She might do a test run of the new gear with me at The Pines before the actual hang. Can't wait for the new stove gear to get here! *

    Hi,
I’m looking for tips on summer camping. She is a rescue from Mississippi and I get a typical teenager stare down when it’s time to go out in single digits.
I’m planning on an extended hike with her next year.

Well, for pups in either season, it's just like a human. Water, food, rest, comfort. When I camped with my dog years ago, frequent or direct access for water breaks, snacks while hiking rather than full meals, and a dedicated blanket that was hers to curl up on seemed to do the trick. Some pups need something do do, so aside from carrying her own gear, the occassional thrown stick kept her focused, and connected to me on the trail.
Real cold got her a sweater/cover, bit more water, and more frequent snacks as she burned more calories. More stick-toss to generate body heat.
Hiking or camping with a dog is immensely rewarding!
    Man I miss that Pup!

Can anyone provide the exact address please?

Pretty sure I got it right from google maps but want to make sure. Really looking forward to seeing all of you, hanging in the winter for the first time, and testing out my system. Thanks!

Sorry one more question, can I pay onsite or is there a way to pay in advance?
It looks like we might have a heat wave that weekend.

I haven’t been to this Scout camp but believe it is 22 Sugar Hill Road in Williamsburg. If you take I91 up to MA take the exit for RT 9 West and then turn left onto RT 143 South just after you pass through the center of town in Williamsburg.
It’s all uphill from there and Sugar Hill Road will be on your right well before you hit downtown Chesterfield.
There is a gas station in Williamsburg right after the saw mill (you will see signs and stacks of wood). This is the last gas station for a while, I’d fill up there if you are at half.
It’s been a few years since I’ve worked up there.
