I’d like to join you guys. What time does it start and what can I bring?
I see some dog pictures, would be great to meet folks who bring their puppy hammocking.
You can get there as early as 9am Friday morning and anytime after that. Yourself, gear and food.

Any way, I may actually be able to make this seminal hang once more - been a few years, and the Scout Camp is one of my all-time favorite places to be, with loads of good memories there! Even my Supershelter which got blown apart in the snow one year!
WARNING! :::THE WORD "TENT" IS ABOUT TO BE USED!
IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE OFFENDED, TOUGH.

If I make it, I will be in a TeePee style Hot Tent (a One Tigris Smokey Hut). Waiting for my portable wood-burning stove to arrive from Norway through Canada. A "GStove", with all the extras. We can use my rig as a warming tent for anyone who might need it - unless I am sleeping, of course. Should be about 75°-80° most of the time inside. I might run a short class/hunt on finding and using 'Fatwood' for fire lighting if I get there.
I would live to see all the old NEHHA peeps again! Especially at such a revered and memorable hang site!
Except Raiffnuke. He shoots me with Nerf Darts. And knows more knots than I do. And has bigger blades. But I have more. But wow! Can the guy sew!
Anyway, we'll see. I really, really, really need this hang again!

Hey man, if you put HOT in front of tent, it's ok because that's cool stuff man! Can't wait to see the rig set up. Haven't seen you in a while so it will be good to connect again. Last time I saw you was at a spring hang and you were cooking haddock and scallops like a madman and your daughter was carving spoons! HAHAHAHA!

I just updated my listing in the GooglePage but it still says 2019. Regardless, Sammy and I will be there.

Thanks, Tim! Hope to make it. If my stove system gets here, it's about 90%. I'll have a MMSS (Modular Military Sleep System - what else would I have?) inside the tent, but might be a bit of overkill depending on weather.

Diabetes has caused major issues with the cold. Terrible circulation and nerve damage to hands and feet. Cold makes my hands feel like they are on fire these days. (Bi-lateral Diabetic Distal Polyneuropathy) so warmth is a determining factor for me these days. Hence, the hot tent. Determined to still winter camp.

The stove has shipped from Canada! Things are looking up for this hang!!!

Been taking my granddaughter out in the forest when I can, teaching her. My then 6 year old presented me with a shopping bag full of dried Birch Bark for Father's Day! Still have the little red hammock Raiff sewed for her when she was an infant. Born into NEHHA! I will have her at a hang soon enough.

    I want my GStove!

Since I recv'd a shipping notice for my wood burning stove, odds are great that I will make the hang this year! I have many nights sleeping on Pine boughs, but decided to upgrade to an insulated inflatable sleeping pad, that will also fit in my hammocks, as well as the MSS.
Dropped into REI just to 'look'. Yeah, right. This came home with me!

    Hi,

I’m not sure if my earlier answer posted correctly. I was more thinking of community food. I’ll stop at Pekarski in South Deerfield and get a couple of kielbasa on the way.
It looks like we might get some snow in the coming days.

Coupla Kielbasa is just fine! Just come, regardless! Eat all weekend long, enjoy whatever classes we run, eat more, embrace the crazy!
This is a great site, great people, and great time! Be forwarned, though, you may catch and leave with HAS - Hammock Aquisition Syndrome. Only fatal to your wallet, and perhaps a relationship or two, but we have counsellors at the hang.
    WELCOME!

Wow Sky! So excited you will join us!!! I have no problem with tents. Dan sleeps in one. You do what you need to do to be comfy, besides, it is a HOT tent. I am sure we will all be psyched to have it around! With a hot tent you might even get Ali to join you.
