    DIY Underquilt Protector...how to sew?

I've looked on the forums and can't seem to find printed instructions on how to properly sew an underquilt protector. Can anyone provide me which such a beast? First time sewing such a thing and thought I would try with an UQP before moving on to a GEH.

    Thanks in advance...

Simplest solution is to sew a light weight, gathered end hammock and put the tensioner (ie: Knotty Mod) in the center like the video from Jellyfish shows. Shock cord through the gathered end channels, use small carabiners and hook them at the ends where your suspension starts.
I used breathable ripstop nylon an sprayed it with a couple of coats of Campmore. It's water resistant, but still breathable and there's no condensation. Works great for me and I sleep outside year round. On my 5th year with the one I made, but had to replace the end shock cords this year.

I made one using Jellyfish's tutorial. Was one of the easier sewing projects I've tackled.

If you use any kind of biners to attach your UQ to your suspension, you can just clip the UQP shock cord into the same ones.

Glad this was asked, I just got a sewing machine from Craigslist, it’s a brother cs6000i for 50.00 . I know nothing about sewing lol.
