NJ > Worthington State Forest + Delaware Water Gap NRA

A fun weekend stroll through the forests of New Jersey, along with a little hangin’ (above the clouds!). It got a little too cold for my 45º sleeping bag, but i spent enough time in my hammock to get rested. Also did some touring along Old Mine Road on Sunday. A very pleasant weekend excursion.

Nice pictures, especially the panorama shots. I used to live in Jersey and spent many hours on the AT there. It's also a nice paddle trip on the Delaware down to the gap if you like to kayak or canoe. Have you been to Buttermilk Falls which is a little north of Worthington?

Definitely want to do a canoe trip! I was totally jealous of those people.

We did make it to Buttermilk Falls and hiked to the top, but it was only a trickle because it's been so dry.

If you paddle that, the pocono pony will shuttle you and your boat for free. Also, plan on camping at walpack bend. All the river campsites are always taking by noon. Theres a huge cluster at the bend where we always get a good spot.
